New Venue Receives Top Marks
Having relocated to our new venue at The Contact Club, Dronfield in August we are very pleased to have already received numerous favourable comments from our members following our first two concerts there.
It is clear that everyone enjoys the extra comfort and facilities the contact club offers over our previous venue.
One of our team’s initial concerns about moving was the distance from Staveley where the society originated and has been based for over 30 years. The fear being that our members may not travel to Dronfield. However, those fears have proved to be groundless as many have found their journey from Chesterfield to be quicker and easier than their previous journey to Staveley. Those from a little further afield have found the benefits of our new venue well worth a little extra mileage and of course, a substantial number of our members who previously travelled from the Dronfield and Sheffield areas really appreciate the improved venue which is closer to home!
Since moving we have also been delighted to welcome a number of new visitors from the local area to our concerts.
Despite being initially approached with some trepidation, our decision to relocate has so far been very well received and proved very successful and we hope it will mark the beginning of a bright new era for World of Music.
Our concerts throughout 2017 will be held on the second Wednesday of each month and we have a great line-up of top artistes already engaged. Programmes will be available shortly.
We would like to thank the staff and management of the Contact Club for their co-operation, help and assistance and for making us feel so very welcome.
